Thermal Face Lift

Facial Contouring & Skin Tightening

LaSalle, Windsor, ON

Thermal Face Lift is our unique non-surgical facial contouring and skin tightening treatment. Published research on the technology we use reports improvement in skin firmness in 52.9% to 100% of patients across studies, with patient satisfaction between 82% and 100%!

There are no needles, no anaesthetic and no recovery period. You lie back, the handpiece warms your skin in passes, and you go back to work. Nothing is removed and nothing is injected. The treatment works entirely by controlled, gentle heat.

Why Choose Revery for Your Thermal Face Lift

Screening Happens First.
Every treatment at Revery starts with a complimentary consultation, a medical history review and informed consent. Thermal Face Lift has specific contraindications that get missed in clinics that treat it as just a facial.

Expectations Get Set Before You Pay, Not After.
Published research on non-surgical tightening is clear that satisfaction tracks closely with what you expected going in. We'd rather have an honest conversation about the results you can expect rather than over-promising and under-delivering.

Your Plan Can Combine Treatments.
We offer a variety of skin treatments, such as laser skin rejuvenation, ResurFace™ laser skin resurfacing, and Botox. Tightening, resurfacing and volume are three different problems, and they're often better addressed together than one at a time.
We're a medical aesthetics practice, not a spa with a machine. Parameters get set for your skin, not pulled from a default.

What is a Thermal Face Lift?

Our Thermal Face Lift is a nonsurgical approach to skin tightening that mimics the results you would get with face lift surgery. The device we use, Sharplight, features a two-technology approach: bipolar radiofrequency and VermaDerm long-pulse infrared. Both work by heating the dermis, the supportive layer beneath your skin's surface, while a cooled sapphire window keeps the outer layer below 40°C.

Heat causes existing collagen fibres to contract on contact, which produces immediate tightening, then triggers a repair response that builds new collagen over the following months. The infrared handpiece uses wavelengths from 850 to 1750 nm and reaches up to 4 to 5 mm into the skin, deep enough to target the reticular dermis where structural collagen lives.

How It Can Help You

Thermal Face Lift is great for the following:

  • Softening along the jawline and early jowling
  • Loose or lax skin on the lower face, cheeks and neck
  • Sagging under the chin
  • Folds and creases, including nasolabial folds
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Loss of firmness and definition in facial contour
  • Enlarged-looking pores and dull surface texture
  • Fullness in the lower face and under the chin, where radiofrequency has been reported to reduce facial fat volume

It also works well alongside what you may already be doing.

Treatable areas include the forehead, cheeks, jawline, submental area under the chin, neck and décolletage.

Why This Technology Is Different From Other Tightening Devices

Most non-surgical tightening devices give you one energy at one depth. Thermal Face Lift uses two, and they don't do the same job.

Two energies, two depths, one appointment.
Radiofrequency creates heat through tissue resistance rather than light, which means energy converts to heat at the level of the dermis and deeper tissue instead of being absorbed at the surface. Radiofrequency also preferentially heats the collagen septae that separate fat lobules underneath, which is part of what produces the immediate lifting effect. Infrared at 850 to 1750 nm targets water in the tissue and reaches the reticular dermis. Using both in sequence covers more of the structure that's actually loosened. It doesn't care what colour your skin is. Radiofrequency doesn't target melanin, so unlike light-based treatments it isn't affected by skin pigment. Published reviews describe this as a genuine advantage for treating a wider range of skin tones with less pigmentary risk. SharpLight lists its radiofrequency-only platform for Fitzpatrick skin types 1 to 6.

It's comfortable.
Across four studies in a recent systematic review, the mean pain score for radiofrequency facial treatment was 1.94 out of 10 on a visual analogue scale. SharpLight describes the sensation of its radiofrequency face handpiece as similar to a hot stone massage. Nobody needs numbing cream for this.

The epidermis stays protected.
Both handpieces use a contact-cooled sapphire window. SharpLight's technical documentation reports epidermal temperature held below 40°C while the dermis reaches the 50°C to 60°C range needed for collagen contraction. That's the reason this treatment has no downtime while an ablative laser does.

Something happens the same day, and more happens later.
Heat-induced collagen contraction is immediate. The repair response that follows produces new collagen for weeks after, and published histology suggests newly synthesized collagen can continue increasing for up to six months following treatment.

Your Results

You can expect to notice subtle tightening, sometimes starting the same day of your treatment! This is from immediate collagen contraction. However, most of the change builds slowly. In a 2025 comparison study, radiofrequency patients reported noticing improvement starting one to two months after treatment, and published histology documents new collagen synthesis continuing for up to six months. Firmness and contour keep improving across a series and after your final session.
