The Treatment
During
The treatment takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Patients report that it feels like a slight burning or stinging, particularly in more sensitive areas. For this reason, a topical aesthetic or ice may be applied to improve your comfort. Once administered, the area may be massaged.
After
You may find that some bruising, swelling and redness appear after your treatment. The area may also be tender. These side effects are common and can last for a couple of days to weeks, depending on your recovery rate. A cold compress can be used to ease swelling. Make sure to keep the area clean and moisturized.
