It’s a gentle process that can be used almost anywhere on the body, including the face, underarms, legs, bikini line, back, and more. The only area that cannot be treated is around the eyes.

The laser targets the pigment (melanin) in each hair follicle, delivering heat that disables the follicle’s ability to regrow hair—all without damaging the surrounding skin. What to Expect from Treatment
We use the Candela GentleMax Pro for laser hair removal, an incredible device which can be safely used for any skin tone in the Fitzpatrick scale. The device is customizable, allowing us to adjust settings based on your skin tone, hair colour, and even treatment area.
For the best outcome, shave the treatment area 12-24 hours before your session. Avoid waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams, since it'll make it harder for the laser to penetrate the follicles. Avoid tanning in the weeks before treatment; sun exposure increases the risk of side effects like burns or pigmentation changes. On the day of your appointment, keep the area clean and free of lotions, oils, or makeup, which can interfere with the laser.
Most people find the treatment quick and manageable, often describing it as a gentle “snap” against the skin. Sessions last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the area treated. There’s no required downtime, so you can return to your day right away, with only minimal aftercare and some mild redness or swelling that fades quickly.
Laser Hair Removal Results
Laser hair removal works by destroying most of the targeted hair follicles in a target area, meaning they won’t grow new hair again. Occasionally, some follicles are only partially damaged, so you might notice a little regrowth, but this hair is usually very fine and barely visible.
