Please note: We do not offer injections for the back, neck, or hips. All joint injections are provided by referral only.
Injections Over Surgery
Joint injections performed by our head physician, Dr. Bryce Leontowicz, are often a better choice than surgery for many joint and musculoskeletal conditions due to their minimally invasive nature, faster recovery, and lower risk. Unlike surgery, which typically requires anesthesia, incisions, and significant downtime, injections such as PRP, hyaluronic acid, or steroids can be performed quickly in an outpatient setting and allow you to return to daily activities much sooner. They also have fewer risks and complications, such as infections or scarring, and do not require lengthy rehabilitation. For many people, injections offer effective pain relief and improved function without the stress and uncertainty of surgery, making them an attractive first-line option for managing joint pain and inflammation.

Steroid Injections

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Also known as “viscosupplementation”, it involves injecting hyaluronic acid — a substance found naturally in the body that attracts and binds to water molecules -– to lubricate and cushion the joints.
- Often used for knee osteoarthritis
- May reduce stiffness and improve mobility
- Can be a helpful alternative if steroids aren’t effective or appropriate
Who Can Receive Joint Injections?
Joint injections are offered by referral only. If your family physician or specialist has recommended this treatment, we’ll work closely with them to ensure you receive the right care for your condition.
